Huge turnout of wings more than the glory days of windsurfing. One lone slappy windsurfer today. Didn't have any real issues launching getting foiling or dealing with gusts and managed to fall to the inside most gybe attempts. Invigorating! Very strong sewer smell but hoped it was kelp or other non-poop biologicals. Dr Mark on it first on a 5M. Wind jacked immediately and sent him downwind a bit and he packed up. I pumped up a 3M and was immediately lit to overpowered in building swell. The playground is still quite kelpy but hopefully it'll get thinned out soon by a few storms. Rode the Omen 850 for the first time in solid swell on the Ginxu. Wowee! What a foil. Late game decision, forecast a little blue and only 16kts at Entrance Island. Relieved to see the promising whitecaps on arrival. Not quite yesterdays intensity but perfect wing conditions. Rigged up the GoPro and tried to follow DavidM to get some POV perspective and all I got was his wake :/ Best swell lines north of the Hudsons. Well powered on the Slick 4.0 for the first half then moved to the 5m for the afternoon silver seas.

Yellow forecast on both models with 18kts at Entrance Island. It's a go! 10:30 arrived to a silver sea, the old pine humming 20kts. Started on the 5.0 but was quickly OPd. 4m on 1250cm was the right combo for me today. Shared the waves with David M, Hank, Sam and Gusto. Good swell all afternoon with best rides near Hudson Rocks.
Well worth the trip :))

I tried an hour before and only got a slog out to the point and back. Thank goodness Paul is super committed as he went back out about an hour later to sketch winds. Bobson and I watched RuppDog depart previously, but minutes later, Paul was up and foiling after a slog long in the bay. Happy to get out for a better than forecasted SW in Pat Bay. Was off and on here all day. Went out to the inlet where it was South enough for some good fetch up the inlet so some almost rideable waves but not quite enough for me.. Fun trying anyways. Arrived to see flatness inside but some wind outside. Rupp was watching and Paul and HighRocker had just come in. Some gusts came thru and then it filled in to 10-12kts and they both went out and foiled so I rigged up the 6.0m and schlogged! Apparently they used up what was there. I pumped around and got on the foil twice but nothing sustained. Rain came and it died so came in and went for coffee with my daughter. Nice finish.

Had the pond to myself as a downed kiter floated by and into the corner. Enough wind to get outside and upwind into some fun swell. Tweezer and Tuna eventually joined me. Was all good till the end when i pushed it too far down into the no go corner in dying wind. Schlogged outward with no success, schlogged in with same result until finally having to paddle in. Beautiful, warm, fun evening!

Fantastic day at Willows capped off by foiling with T109A transient pod at the Chain Islets as I tried to avoid the many whale watching boats. GMan shared the flat water with me as he practiced gybes and I played around as I always do. 6m was a good choice for my novice skill level. I was trying out my pal Mike's 115L KT Drifter. Very nice! Cold brews in the comfy Willows lawn chairs with the GMan capped off a naturally epic day. Nearly time to put the summer weight wetsuit in the closet. Sigh.....

Quick sunset session. Arrived to RB looking pretty mediocre at best. URL was out gliding around nicely on some swell, tweezer was making his way out slowly which wasnt a good sign. Decided to give it a go. As i hit the water, the wind died down even further, kept paddling out, and was able to hop on a gust to make it up to the point. Great swell up there, but the wind was pretty light. Only fell twice, and then booked it back to shore. Quick beer at RBP with Tweezer after was great! Nice evening.

Epic Spanish Banks! Shifty, gusty and full of holes, but powered up wind at 1030 launch with short fuse and mini tail! An hour to get to Dog beach and the big swell. Outstanding waves made it difficult to kneel on the board to get going if you managed to fall in the wash. The second hour was just enough, then downwind milking the swell for the last hour. Sweet! All the usual suspects!!!

Gusty and a bit lumpy with lots of water moving around. Foil felt twitchy. Beautiful and warm though. Some breaking waves in the back. Saw a sea lion catch a wave and surf in for a while - pretty cool.

Arrived at 10, looked good so rigged the 5.2m Flyer but it had dropped a bit so schlogged out and back for 20 mins and came in and rigged the 6.0m Flyer. Boom!! Foiled for an hour and then saw a bunch of whale watching boats and then saw the whales. Maybe 6-8 Orcas which I got to watch for about an hour. Got to within 500 meters a few times. Started with 5m+surfboard at Spanish Banks with huge gusts and lulls and crazy chop ... then a walk of shame from Locarno.
8m+surfboard was the right call in W 20-30 (chop cleaned up) to get up to Acadia to share the waves with 2 windsurfers (C36, Jens, Carl?), 2 more kiters on surfboards (Mike and Sean) and a ton of wingers including (Jaryn and the Bush family) ... heavenly glassy waves ... must have been wingers paradise.
Great way to start the week.

Very lucky to have the loaner 7m Stinger from Lancer! I tried my 6mX3 and that was pointless. The 7m got me up consistently in the light winds. The stiffness and power is undeniable. I got an hour's worth of repeated cross bay fun from MTI to Cattle Point. Sadly after changing goPro batteries, the winds weakened and even the 7m couldn't get me flying again. Maybe an 8 or 9m? Hmmmmmmm...... Nice to have Greg share the flat water with me!

Nice to finally have wind in the forecast again. Unfortunately not the steady wind of spring and early summer. More like typical gusty crap wind that happens when it rains. Only it didn't rain and the water is still really warm. That being said it was pretty fun still! A good mix of windsurfers, wingers and kiters. Want to thank Ryan as this wasn't even on my radar. I got up around 1245 not expecting much. There was already enough wind to get out on a 5m. I realized it was much heavier 200 m off the shoreline so I downsized to a 4 m only to have the wind drop and then things really started to pick up. Good swell, a ton of kelp, one 6 inch wide tree branch that sent me for a hotdog. The omen mast was completely unscathed. Grateful to be an islander.
