First time on the Spitfire. Arrived to beauty swell and 18ish knots. Wind started backing off as I rigged. Walked up to Clover to get out to the wind line. Played in great swell and iffy wind till it died. Floated around for a bit till it came back and got a few more runs. Spitfire was fast and manoeuvrable. Obviously had a higher stall speed than the 810bsc but was surprised by how little wind I could get it up in. I need a proper session to really figure it out.

5.3 Way OP out, barely powered inside on 110. Swapped for 94 but the crappy chop & work inside turned me off, sore old hip was whining so I opted for beer. Tried 5.0 later & water texture was much better @higher tide. Wind quality similar tho stronger. Feeling the wear of heat, summer sessions & gusty winds. Home to rest & pray for rain

Downwinger with TK. Some really nice swell patches, but overall less swell than hoped for. A wind hole off gordons had me worried, barely able to stay on foil for a bit....and then a patch of crazy swirly gusty on other side of otter with nightmare chop, though fun for connecting lines through. You never know what you're going to get down the way, that's part of the adventure. First session on new to me 4m, thanks dean.

It took me about 3 attempts to finally get up and riding. Attempt 1 was a complete shut down of the wind at launch. Attempt 2, I ended up on the beach with the help of kelp and a fouled foil. Wanted to thanks Davey_k for helping me grab my gear from the beach after attempt 2. Attempt 3 worked out! Managed to get about 45mins on the water before it completely shut down again. Happy the kite didn't crash in the water on my way back in.

I got lucky in what was a fickle wind situation today. I got out on a 10m and it was good with decent power to stay upwind and slash a few of the pretty good swell waves. But I wanted more power and came in for the 12m. Went out again with good power and had a really good session as long as I stayed away from the shore. It was good until it wasn't. Arrived to a steady 22 kts but by the time I had my kite in the air it had dropped to near zero, complete with kites in the water and wingers sitting on their boards. A strange period of gusty omni- directional weirdness followed and then it filled back in. I was overpowered for about 20min with some of the steepest swell I've seen at Clover, and a tide line that brought all kinds of wood debris and loose kelp that needed dodging. Actually a super fun session! Great swell, consistent wind for the most part. Played with tail combos on the big board and Ginxu with good results. Had some unbelievably fun rides on the big 115L, 1225 with Speed 180 tail. Loose, and fast! I'm convinced there's some magic in that MA1225. Some fun jumps on the Ginxu and MA1000 too. Love when a so-so looking session delivers this much fun. Glad to save myself the Gspot drive! So much better than last night's suffer-fest.

Launch at 830 and nice power for the first half hour, then a bit of pump and go for the second. Finally came off foil on the outside and slogged all the way back as it dropped another few knots. Weeds for the first kilometre, clear after that. Glad I was on the bigger board.
