Joined the boys for a sail at this place that I usually dont go to, for good reason. Failed to pan out very well, so hotttt and finally rigged 5.7/110 Just to get wet. Gave it the full college try planing 40%, between mill pond and gusts, thought it would fill in. Did Not. The best part was David Ms hotdogs! Bailed

Riding force wind started around 0900, lasted till ~1930. Power hours were 1000 - 1800. Tendonitis flaring up :( Was probably a few knots more for wingfoil/windsurf, wind was definitively stronger at lower height. Unfortunately more fog this morning, but hopefuly lucky like yesterday, that it would still be windy even if fog was present in the am. Crossing fingers.

3 wings out when I arrived. Wind died before I got on the water. Hung around till the wind came back. Headed out with a few other wings. Made one reach out and slogged back. Not a very rewarding session. I had forgotten how cold the water is in Ross Bay.

Clover was closed for an event so I went back to the old stomping grounds of Cook St. No one was there or on the water. I setup and was ready to self-launch when Rob C. showed up. I was lucky for that and grateful too. Rob assisted me with the launch which made it a lot easier in the low wind. I dragged out through the light wind and then had a sensational session with strong wind and excellent swell to smash and slash. I went hard and was exhausted at the end of the session. The wind was decreasing ... (more)

Got lucky and got the best of today's RB winds. First into the afternoon water session and quickly found the 6mX3 well overpowered. But, it was tolerable and I was too lazy to go back in and switch to 5mX3. Good 20kt stuff at Clover level. I got lots of gybe practice and some progression. Fun to share the swells with Idefix and Tweezer. Winds diminished after an hour forcing all 3 of us into a WOS back to our beach. Beers with Idefix and MtnarG upon completion.

Such a sick sesh. Arrived at the lake around 11am and it was just blasting! Quickly through all my gear on to the beach, parked and got out there. So many people out today. Ton of kiters, lots of windsurfers and a few wingers here and there. Started on the 5.0 with the 115L but quickly downsized to the 4.2 with the 99L..that was definitely the sweet spot '? that 99L makes is sooo easy to plane.. like right out of a waterstart lol. The wind never shut down completely overnight. It cooled right off though and the fog bank almost reached the campsite. It started really blowing at about 10 and was immediately too much for 8m kite and foil so had 3 awesome twin tip sessions- one on 8m and 2 on 10m. Last session was one of the best ever - super lit and felt like I was getting good lift off the wave faces. Hopefully, more tomorrow.

I've only sailed here once but sure is a gorgeous ha! lush park. 5.0/94. Wind was cranking up & I went up to Hatchery proper couple of times, 2long downwinders. Seconds. Decided that staying in Gold Beach for one day out of sequence was high risk given the lack of ground swell and the lack of NW wind the last two days south of Bandon. So we decided to start heading north. Michael and I sailed a Floras Lake again with similar, but only slightly better wind. Jens kept driving and two of us made it to Tucker Park by 10 pm.

Well I thought sailing here once would be enough but back here again. Headed north to the Gorge and this was the only option for wind today. Tried the 999, this would be a great beginner foil but I'm not sure it's low end is that much different than the 799.

Wind sucked at lake Cowichan this week first time skunked there. Wind was coming mostly from south, a bit hazy. Foiled 2 out of 4 days but barely and with alot of pumping. Waters warm but very disappointing compared to most times I've camped there, of course it was windy all last week and the day we left.

Pipers had different plans today compared to the forecast, wind kept building. On the water just after 9 and suprised to be fully powered on the outside. Came in for a quick swap to a smaller board. Later morning the wind shifted in and ramped up. Had some great flat water speed runs on the inside. Another epic pipers day. On the 6.3 for the session.

First time at the lake this year. Great consistent wind, started on the 7m and foil and was way overpowered, switched it up for the 5m and it was the sweet spot. Lots of fun and a decent crowd on the water.

First time ever sailing Floras Lake. Was kinda fun playing in the fresh water and getting a little break from the rock.

A bit of a weird day for wind. Kind of gusty and never really great. Might have been good for the hour the boys and I were cliff jumping. All good. Great getaway.

Fresh water. NW flow battled the fog at the cape and the fog won. Drove north to Bandon and checked out Face Rock. Strange dumpy wave just south of the launch and light inside wind were a 'no' for three and a 'maybe' for one. Opted for the novelty session at Floras Lake. Halibut dinner at the campo.

Thought I'd made the wrong call 4.7 84 but Markus made it work w/ 5,0 so I gave it a go. Wind cooperated and some sweet 12' waves!

+3.5 hrs on newer 18m. Water still way too warm. Very nice lift along the trees, acting like a cliff @ cook st for updraft. Not strong enough to "parakite", for my weight anyway. Today (5th July) should be stronger, tomorrow, Friday even more. Good week to be here.

Epic fail. Launch 9am and float the board up to the old kitesurfing launch site before getting on foil in stiffening breeze. Upwind leg to the wave energy test site and was riding glassy swell when the wind tanked. Knocked around in the remaining swell for 1 hour, before starting the down wind float/walk of shame on the very low tide. Arrive Locarno around 130, glad I had my hat.
