Got there when it was filling in but we were waiting for it to get better and ended up launching after the bubble formed. Powered on the outside till it started to drop off. We all came in and watched it get lighter and lighter. I thought that was it (like yesterday) so I packed up - soon after, it filled in again outside so Chris, Dave, Mike and Tom had a nice late session.

    Classic 5.0 Nitinat :D :D :D

Drove up with MF4 and MMMike. Arrived about 11:00 and it was already blowing. Rigged the 5.4 and was comfortably powered up right away. Once it filled in a bit more, I was fully lit but not overpowered. I sailed the 5.4 all day. Spent a lot of time sailing between Knob Point and the island. Worked on jibe after jibe. Some OK ramps but it seemed pretty flat compared to the ocean. :? Still nice to rip in the WARM water. Lots of jellies

    I'll be sore tomorrow!

Okay, those were Insane conditions!! I'm glad I only rigged the 8.5 all week. It was 18-22kts at the start and built from there. At the top mark it was blowing 25kts....Lots of carnage on the racecourse. I was in less than 20th position after 1 lap and just before the last upwind mark my harness line broke and I couldn't hang on enough to get around the top mark....I can't believe some guys were out on 10.0m sails.....chouch!!!

They called it 'over' when the wind picked up to over 30kts.

ON the water at 11:30am. George and I went upwind past the island and ran out of wind. Back down to the campground at about 1:30 and spent about 2 hours of board time on the Kombat and new 5.3. Working on jumps and planing jibes. A great day but my hands are raw and I wanted some time in the sun drinking beer and sunning so I got of the water at 5pm. Great fun! Got to Pipers and on the water with the the GO and 7.5 at ten. It picked up after an hour and I went out on the JP with the 6.3, picked up again and had to put the 5.8 on. Ate lunch and then went out again with halfaday on the big stuff again. Finally got off the water at four. Beauty weather and nice sailing in just boardshorts, except the nice sun burn I have.

    Ocean Rodeo Bronco 12M
    Ocean Rodeo Punch-Out bar
A classic Gordons day like I remember. A real nice day for the 12M. Some entertaining medium swell off the kelp bed again. Didn't get out of work until 2:30 so first day ever that Christina had more time on the water than me!

One of the best Gordo's days for me in a long time. Over rotated one bigger forward with no dire consequences thankfully. Lots of hucks, carves, and slalom duelling with Wingnut. Pimphand provided refreshments. Nice! More please...
