Played on the S-Type 115 and NCX 6.5 for an hour before going back to Carve and 8.0 NCX for another hour. The S-TYPE rocks!!! Very quick but tough to jybe for me(bad jiber!). Lots of fun after the HOT day(95 degrees) with no wind until 4:30pm. :D :D

1st day of Event Racing. TOO MUCH FUN!!! Got 6 races in....got better every race. Started out in 32nd out of 38 and by the 5th race I was 24th out of 39.....NICE!!!! Tough gybing on the Washington side where the Chop is almost head high sometimes.....Yaouch!!! Rippin' on BIG GEAR in more that 20kts is pretty hairy!!! I love racing !!!! DOODS!!

Got to Jericho beach at about 9:00am. Strong wind but lots of weeds and debris. Water cleared up after about 1hour. I downhauled my 5.7 to its max settings to help with gusty conditions. Lots of good swell in middle of Bay and nice ramps on way out. On my last run I sailed between the anchor chain and the hull of a tanker. Lots of Fun! Over all a great time. Left at about noon.

I had a short session of "low wind waterstart paractice", followed by some "slogging 101" therapy. Fortunately, I didn't end up in the village, as did many. Still, I did go out (follishly, I ask you?) for more.... :roll:

Then... the wind came back in! EK Eric H. was there to test it out and give the thumbs up. Just the two of us until red helmet dude and heather showed up.

:D Nice 4.7 wind when I got there at 2:30. Sailed the small board for 1 1/2 hrs. then it dropped a bit so I went to the fish, died off some more and alot of people left. Then around 6 pm it came right back up again and I sailed till almost 7 pm. Ugly chop at times but some nice swells too. Good to sail with the crew again.

First annual B.C. day Gordons beach blow out @ M&M's..Thanks you guys. A great day of supporting the kiters. 6 to 12 meter kites were out. Couples hot switched kites. Grant Watson pulled off about 4 hours of hard core 9 m sky hopping, lip smacking action. Followed by a bbq.. I wonder what tomorrow will be like?!...BIG MONDAY!!!! note: Nitinat was very light,don't figure!!!

first rate gordons day. comfortable 5.0 conditions with a beauty section of steep head-on chop on the outside. spent most of the time there. great for SB looping. love the spin. addictive. BWD hucking loops and giving me the stoke :twisted: Dave - time to turf the "loop free since 1968". Saw Randy charge into a nice back loop attempt. Nailed one boomarang - must have been a fluke because other attempts ended in disaster. Too much fun and holiday to boot :D

Driving to Kelowna Sunday afternoon...saw the wind in Nicola Valley. Took the turn off to Nicola and sailed out of the windsurf pullout before Quilchena (opposite side from Monck Park). Awesome overpowered 5.5 session...could have been 5.0? Big ramps and nukin' wind out in the middle of the lake. Made Nitinat seem flat by comparison. I couldn't keep the Trance from jumping. Was about 6 other local sailors there.

After Carmanah hike, got back to a little frontal wind - missed it, decided to slog happily :) Caught another frontal cell, beautifully powered on 7.5 made about [color=red:8143e07ed7]6 FULLY PLANING GYBES IN A ROW [/color:8143e07ed7]:lol: :lol: :lol: yelled happily for a while so then fell on the next ones. Surreal, mystic sailing with fog and misty rain, could hardly see across the lake.

Wind was light but promising when I got there at 4:30. rigged the 5.6 and waited till 6pm when it was getting lighter and was just about to pack up. Then it quickly filled in to shore so I went out and found lots of wind outside. Sailed for 1/2 an hour and came in to rig the 4.7 at which point it suddenly dropped off. Woo hoo.

Very intereting conditions today. Chopy confused seas comming from all directions for a while. Gusty warm wind with holes, then a blast of hot air pushed through. I could instantly feel the temperature difference on my hands. More dirty wind then it went real smooth and steady for 10 minutes. Back to dirt after that. Good exercise and still fun. What happened to the old Gordons days of steady cold wind and damp fog?

Looong day on the water, board shorts and rash guard only, warm! 5.8 briefly powered (sweet) 7.5 the rest. Instructed Roger on the water, he's coming right along. All that slow speed slog/pivot gybes did in my hands. Made several planing gybes.
