Solid session where I just kept working on jibes. Got a few in, upwind and down but I have lot's of work ahead. First successful upwind jibe to toe-side. Thanks to tweezer for tips and some coaching. More then enough wind to be out on 4m. First day with new 980 HPS. Handled like all HPS tech, incredibly stable, lots of initial lift and solid speed. Amazing day.

Hands down the most fun I've had since starting this sport less than a year ago in September. Got to the lake by 10:30am and rigged the 7.5 with the 160L. Had about an hour of fun before it became way to overpowered so I came in and pulled out the 120L and rigged up the 5.7. What..A..Day. Been pretty confident with the waterstarts so I decided f*$% it I'm going out there and man so glad I did. Bought some gear around hood river from old friends and a store or two and I can definitely say it was great to be back on the water after a long hiatus! Even managed a reunion with the talented Jeff Sutherland who of course was throwing all sorts of cool tricks that I can't even name. At times wind was a little puffy but pretty good for a 4.2 and 74L waveboard.

Windier looking that expected when I arrived but not that windy on the water. Good light wind practice on smaller board. Fair bit of work to get it up on a foil but still possible in super light conditions. Came in to rig bigger after half an hour of just staying on a foil but by the time I got back out it was really dying.

Tried a sup foil dw attempt the day before and discovered that when filled in and high winds the swells by the port authority are the cleanest in town. Unless that fully loaded aluminum prawn boat is hauling downwind. That thing puts out a steep wake that can rival CB at 25kn.
Thought about selling the 93k mast and just focusing on dw with the 73 to minimize how much gear I'm travelling with. Decided to try the 980 with the 93 first. Better glide as long as you stay high. Think I'll keep it for the s ... (more)

Waited a while and the wind finally came in, another fun sunset session. Rigged the 7m a little reluctantly, but it ended up being a good size with the wind increasing steadily throughout the evening. Lots of kiters out, and some nice swell inside of the spiral staircase.

Working a job in cow bay and saw some white caps out there so I had to check it out. Rigged up at the hotel, got out into the bay and experienced mostly gusts and a whole lot of weekend boat traffic. I feel like there is definitely wind out there once you get out far enough but there was a lot of holes along the way. That being said, getting caught in one of those "no wind" holes can be dangerous if these speeding boaters aren't paying attention. Unreal how many of them just peel out of that Marin ... (more)

New 5m DD leaking in the strut. Seems like the valve. Not good! Its also quite heavy - 6.5 Slick feels lighter. Nice to switch to the big wing and big foil to get some runs in the fickle wind that seemed to want to swing West but was having a hard time. Seemed like quite a bit of NE-bound current in some places.
Nice to see Tweezer ripping upwind in such marginal wind. Must secretly be an e-foil.
Hope it picked up after I left.

Good wind for almost an hour but really SW and flat. Came in for water and watched it completely die. Tried some speed runs but only at half throttle since there were too many birds and I didn't feel safe.

Arrived to good wind. Took off the big foil. Got out just in time for the wind to drop. Changed back to the big foil. Wind picked up. Changed back to the small foil. Excellent flat water session. Hoping for more of the same.
