Hit Rowena with a 4.2 straight off the bat. Sailed solid for 3 hours, until the gusts started to piss me off. Didn't have the energy to rig a 4.7.

Definitely worth the drive down. Fun on 5.8 then a little OP so 5.0. Some back loops, many trips out looking for that perfect forward ramp but they didn't appear 'till I was too whipped. Almost charged with attempted murder when I brained the broshevik very very hard with my mast. Apologies again. Praise jeebus he had a helmet on. I'm the idiot you have to look out for!

Weird day for me. I just couldn't get dialed in. I must have tightened/loosened my sail about 8 different times including once way out when my mast cap came off. Not sure how that happened but it was a little scary having to rerig my sail in big rolling seas . I thought I was all alone as I drifted past Clover Point until an unusually large robin appeared on the scene and scared the crap out me! Thanks for checkin up on me dood!

What a day, Sunny, Warm and great wind. Classic Cook St. It was nicely powered 9m for the first hour and then it started getting out of hand. There was definately more wind up top than on the water. All in all, a great day.

CLASSIC Kook St. on a Saturday! One of the better sessions I've had there in a long time. Starting to get into a groove on forwards. Don't want to try much else at this point. So fun! Thanks and beers to Dave for the loan of his 5.0. I'd have missed the session otherwise. I promise not to post anymore shots of you in your green thong-shoulder strap thingy again.

Great crew of kiters and windboarderers.

    Heal up fast Alex!!

I arrived at Rowena around 11:00. There were a few vans up on the hill, rigged, but no one out yet. I was a little nervous to be the first on the water so I rigged a 5.2 and made some other adjustments. Around 11:30 the first wind dummy was on the water with me close behind. I sailed lit up on the Carve80/5.2 for over and hour and then the wind kicked up a notch. There were maybe 4 of us on the water.

I came in and rigged the new 4.7. Ripped it up for another hour before being scared for my life.

Thursday was a great day to clean out the cobwebs. Sailed from 12-4 at Swell City. Was lit up for about two hours on the Carve 80/5.2, the rest of the time was up and down. Managed a few sweet airs and some clew first jibes but nothing crazy. Sailed with Rob from Real Winds. At the most there were 5 of us on the water at one time. Met a nice 55 year old couple, Holly and Thom, who met through the personal ads 3 years ago. Holly puts most guys to shame on the water. She started sailing when booms were made ... (more)

:D Last day on the water in CC. It blew and blew and blew. Took the 115 S-X out to practice jibes all day. Things are slowly getting better. Sailing was great, and with a GPS rented from the shop, I clocked in at 32mph (50 kmh). I'm sure I easily exceeded this in previous days, but the chop limited top end a bit.....  :P

Nice solid wind down the middle and far side of the lake. Unfortunately I needed big gear to access it :( . Thought about towing a smaller board out and ditching the tank on the far side but it was too much effort. Had as much fun as I could but it was a bit slow for my liking. At least I nailed all my jibes and actually planed through a few as well - the benefits of extra volume!

Managed to get out and have some fun, even if the wind wasn't optimum. Was around 20 when I first went out, gusting higher, and so I took the 9m for fast kiting, and it slowly dropped toward the end of the session, then went really light and steady at the very end. Managed to hit the lip right and proper on a nice wave on the outside - [b:82ed79d715]sweet feeling! [/b:82ed79d715]:D

Weird day, started w/great waves & decent wind but dropped steadily, however slowly w/ megachop. Don't really agree it was really gusty, just not somehow very windy, ha! :P Ripped around on small board til too much work, one major vault w/ big charlie horse from mast  Need kite (launching) lessons apparently, sorry Nicole. Few decent effortless duckgybes, some tacks, no luck with heli's, what the heck?? Thought I had those figured

Sail 7 Wave 5-6 Jump 5 Yeah, the Adagio must be sacrificed, ... (more)

rode the Cult until it backed off. then opted for some Freesex fun. one putrid loop attempt that almost discombobulated me  - apparently caught on camera. winddoc - a beer or two if you delete those shots  always fun sailing with friends. discombobulation all around. BWD giving me a lesson on upwind 360s. tried a couple but no success. got ranged on a boomerang attempt.

    less than 2 ft
    0.50 hours Bic Adagio 107
    Ezzy Wave 5.8
Wind less than the small board/sail combo hoped for, but still fun. Wind really gusty, speed I gave not including holes. Nice short session till a contact got washed out by spray, couldn't see the driftwood after that. Made most gybes, but none planed through - some biggish chop on the outside. Nice to see sail board outnumbering kites by about 8 to 1 (on the water). Kus said my Adagio was sad !
