Started out really NW and we had to sail way on the outside to get the wind. Mostly cruisy/slalom sailing. Then it filled into shore around 8:30pm. Worked on old school stuff - tacks, helis, Hoss, upwind 360s, boomerangs. Way better session than I expected 8)

Classic Cook St. 12m. There was a brief period or two when the wind dropped to the mid teens, but most of it was around 20 knots of [b:26ee6644c0]FUN[/b:26ee6644c0]. :D 3 hours straight on the water, and this was the 5th day of kiting in 6 days! Sunny the whole time 8)

Fun session on the Cabal skimboard and 17m kite. I checked the Columbia weather station and Ballenas and it couldn't have been much over 10 knots between 2 and 4 pm. At first it was about 7 and I couldn't stay up. At 9 knots the package starts to cruise. In flat water and small chop the skimboard is incredibly smooth riding and quite fast considering it has two 3" fins on it, and with little wind. Going to try some different fin and footstrap configurations, but I am really loving this board for light wind ... (more)

I caught two good waves and successfully carved a few turns and rode away, to quote the great bobson " 8) SWEEEEEET 8) " I got total stoke goin on from todays ride!

Beautiful evening for a quick sail; tons of sailboats racing in the bay waiting for the inevitable collision during this very gusty day; started nicely powered but having to read the water to keep on plane, managing to avoid holes and gybing in gusts :P staying dry for the longest time; Holes then got progressively bigger after an hour, pumping to plane and barely staying on, too much work! Zipped in and out, shortie sailing rules! :D :D

Fun session. Patience paid off. By the end of it could be on 4.5 and the small board. Nice jumps, lots of tack attempts (unsuccessful), didn't try anything special today just getting back into the groove.

Freaking seaweed spoiled it a little. Other than that it was great.

Wind finally came up enough after hanging out on the cliff for a few hours. Plenty of wind, could have been on the 4.5/Evo. Swell kicked up for a little while and I got some good little rides near the outer reef. One nice port jump back onto the wave. Then it got choppy near the end. Not too hateful today.

1.50 hours Grant Macpherson Custom One of a kind 149
got out somewhere new with good friends, and that is the highlight for me. :D quite cool out on the west coast compared to Cook, however, very nice to sail a new spot. Also learned not what to do etiquette wise...

wind dropped to around 14-16 for the second half of the session.
