A good day for the windsurfers. Not much wind low on the water for the kite but plenty up high. Big holes and big gusts. Went for some very intense downwind rides with the gusts! Still a very fun day!

Tried a slalom session (6.6 and 85l) at cook first - miserable failure followed by swim and bozo walk. Not to be outdone, moved to Ross Bay and got in an hour on the door. Very tight chop in the river off clover. Lots of logs. Steve would have liked it.

:D Most wind I've ever sailed in....WOW!! Started at 9:30am at 12-15 and then 11am went to over 20kts, then at 12:30 went to 25 and from 1 till 2:30ish was over 30 kts.....Wild and way overpowered on my Severne 5.5m and Carve 99. Ended up happy as a clam!!! NITINAT ROCKS!!! This day was a classic and will be remembered for a long, long time! :D

Awoke to a giant FOGBANK :shock: Whitecaps started at about 9:30 and just kept on coming. My wife took the first session and was blown off the water by about 11:00.
I went out with my 6.8 and small slalom board to see if I might be able to hold it down for the afternoon races. I had 2 scary overpowered trips across the lake and decided I'd better rig down. I grabbed the 5.4 which was good for about an hour and then it was just nuts.

despite seized up back got there with Ruskie for a full 4.8 sesh :P for a bit, then huge hole near launch made everyone stand around for an hour when finally it came in again, still had to rig up to get to it though which made for bit of work outside, flooding hard as it was. Beautiful non-hate kinda day, nice waves and water, no traffic on (few swiftsure types) or off water which was great!! Few Heli attempts, couple of looping thoughts with no result :(

Nitinat lake doesn't get much better than today. Fog bank sitting right where it should and 30C in Duncan. Sailed the 4.2 fully powered up for about 1.5 hours. Tried to figure out how to do a shuvit...kinda of worked but no real success...maybe tomorrow?

What a difference a day/fogbank can make. Was out on the 5.2, very overpowered and decided to do one more run, them rig down. Of course i get thrown and dinged the nose of my board again. So the day was over that. More board repair for me.

One of the best days I've had at Gordons! Spent the first two hours on the 9M. Nice waves and some swell too. Lots of lift today made for the highest jumps for me so far. A little scary but ohhh they felt good. John and Grant W. were jumping sky high all afternoon on 12's! Martin came out and Christina did both a windsurfing session then a kite session. The last hour on the 12M was real smooth. Saw the HMCS ORIOLE cruise by, and several other swiftsure yachts passed.

Way too much float on the e-rock! Time to acquire a smaller board..
I was practicing my lifts, flying off the top of the lip and getting some good air.
Jibes are not there yet. With all the chop it was difficult. I am just starting to consistantly get the board around but I am still losing my balance. My footing is still not good.
Best wind I have ever seen at Nitnat!
Not sure what the inflow direction is. I guessed West.

:D Arrived at 4 and sailed till 6 or rippin on the Hypersonic. This is going to be a great slalom board this summer!! Lots of BAF trying for fastest speed on the GPS...only managed 46km/h this day. :?

No wind until about mid afternoon. Sunny and hot though. Broke the zipper on my wetsuit as I was doing it up :( It ended up being a nice vent for the heat though. Pretty laid back session.
