Solid Columbia day except for the jarring death chop. Didn't have my A game on today but a big overrotated back loop off a steep breaker and got the ragdoll catapult on my only forward attempt. I had a good trip through the rinse cycle too on what was supposed to be my nirvana wave. In the doghouse for playing too long.

Still doing the triathlon there. This might be the last time for it. Once I stopped using gloves I could hang onto the boom without getting the "claw effect".

Great session with lots of there and back!!!

Good fun. Finally landed another backloop. No foot tweaks today 8) .

Trev inspired me to do some forwards at the end of my session when the tide came in and the swell was building. Tried one on nearly every run out. Some were less pretty than others  Good turnout!

Long session of teasing wind - powered part of the time, it would drop, I'd think about coming in, then it would puff enough for a planing run and I'd stay out. Better wind near the end. Only fell on a few (5?) gybes, some OK, none really planing. 38.2 kmph max, 42.1 km sailed.

:D Another great day at CB. Sailed the acid for the first time - love it. Very fast and controlable and great for jumps. Was windy when I got there at 10 and stayed up all day. Surface conditions were good till 3pm then got quite choppy with the flood tide- seems bass ackwards to me. Chris, Trev, Dave, Paul and others doing tons of loops. 8)

Another great CB session. Lots of back loop attempts, landed on gear a few times and some good wave rides earlier on. Feet are shredded from walking on barnicles in low tide. I really don't want these SE winds to end.

Rigged the 12 M & raced out to the sand bar..Pumped for power & ended up going into a 1 handed back splat! Good clean fun..Great swell breaking @ the outer sand bar..Fun wave rides...Notes: 1.Time to learn toe-side for the big smack!.2..Keep hands on bar!!!!! 3...Keep advil in the van!!! 4. .8 Meter tide @ Saanichton bay is perfect (currently) for out ... Nice for the 1st 1.5 hours. The current allowed you to go wherever you wanted to. Nothing amazing in this session, exept it was good to have a decent length session again. The later crowd missed it as it was almost impossible to stay upwind with the strong current on the incomming tide.

Got lucky on the early session and caught the best wind of the day. Strong gusts, but the new OR 14M handled beautifully! One of the best swells over the sand bar today. Ugly chop and knarly current on the outside. As usual, Jim was first on the water. Later Gareth showed up then a handfull of other guys. A really fun session! :D

Had enough playing the "gee it sure LOOKS windy" game, any of my ancient Neil Pryde race sails wouldda ripped, as it was I was always underpowered, at least planing 75% 2 million heli attempts, made only 1 tho :? Leg held out ok :)

Perfect 5.0 to start with fun ramps for loops. Wind picked up, ramps got sketchy and then the logs joined the session. Smacked a few sticks, watched mike and Jose get tossed savagely by some Kung Fu logs  . Rigged the 4.5, the swell cleaned up a bit and the sticks retreated. Fun session despite the sticksurfing.

Made a loop attempt shortly after getting on the water - not a great rotation, like maybe 2/3 and landed on the shoulder. On the way in hit submerged log/stick full tilt - board stopped, Morewind got chucked  bad crash, tweaked right wrist - ouch. No more loops. Ice 'n Advil evening.

Really gusty, short session. I like high tide here, didn't hit the fin this time :D Managed to miss all the logs and debris, but I only did a half dozen or so runs. Not even close to making a jibe, but otherwise felt pretty good  Seatrend is MUCH nicer than my bigger boards in the air after you hit big chop - actually felt controlled :P Got to get in better physical shape, exhausted each few runs/waterstart shenanigans!

Nice session to break in the Year! First hour was ok, some large waves. Last half was a swim session! Wishing I had rigged the 5.5!
