Lots of fun on the 7m and the foil. Overpowered at times and came in to change it up with my surfboard, only for the wind to come down slightly so instead headed back out on the foil again. Went off the Ross Bay side of Clover and realized butter smooth it was, did a few gybes in the bay and and then went back to the large swell of the windward side for some swell riding fun.

Great morning on the windward side of clover. Started on twin tip, wind dropped so changed to foil and then back to the twin tip when the wind came back. Unintentionally tried some unhooked foiling which ended predictably but without injury or gear damage so all good.

Hardly worth logging but I paid for the session. Late start after truck issues. Missed the wind that filled in nicely for a couple of hours. Slingshot 5.5, nice wing and handles just not enough to get foiling. Had a dakine 120 l board with a dakine 900 foil, nice looking medium high aspect and a couple more knots would have worked .Tomorrow is supposed to be 15 to 18 all day, here is hoping.

Sunny, warm and lots of consistent wind. Wind turned a little more NW throughout the session which brought me in closer to Lagoon Head for some reaches. 5.4 was fully powered up. Great session after a miss on the last one. Sun is still a little low, need some shades.

WOW!! Super fun, flatwater RB session! Lots of pumpy-humpy but so peaceful and smooth. I think it was Phil Dunphy that said "Slow is smooth and smooth is fast". Well my friends, he was absolutely correct. Took the last hour off work and headed to RBFC in hopes of some foil-love. Well, it happened. Arrived at 3:30pm to 6-8kts per the wind meter at the end of the outfall. So I rigged the 7.0m Flyer 'session saver' and waited. Bobson as already out windfoiling on his 7m. Looked like enough for the 980. A little sketchy and pumpy to get on foil so traded for the 1010 after 20mins. Wind filled in a little near the end so played around on the inside until dark. Exhausting when you have to pump so much. Great workout. Fun slide.

1st waveboard ride in a long time. Lots of initial missteps but gradually got better. Big swell with light wind in the morning looked intimidating but low tide and the wind waves seemed to drop as the wind came up. Some fun bob and weave on the bigger waves. Brand new JP105 and a 5.4 worked well. Too many beginner kiters near the shore. Great first day

Pretty chilly though, down jackets even at midday. Very cool to know almost everyone from last year.

Just as I was about to head out the wind seemed to drop a bit so went to the 110 firemove. There was enough wind most of the time to stay up wind, but not enough to make any ground up wind...so basically underpowered...fooled by the initial wind...and in hope that it would come back. Alex was nicely powered initially on a 4.5 at first but had to re-rig to a 5.0. All in all another fun day ... (more)

Thought of coming in to rerig but stayed on the 5.2 for an hour and foiled the gusts waiting for the forecasted wind. It arrived just as the wetsuit came off. Nice dark wind line brought in 20+. Rigged the 5.2 Flyer and hit the water at 2:30 for an hour. Rig and foil felt great. Steady wind and calm seas. Mission today was to put more time into jibes with shorter reaches. Still touching down but starting to feel more flight through the turn. Great session.

Left work early, arrived at RB to off shore wind and flat water and BW having a self-meeting. Not long later, Tuna Can showed up, sent some emails while I was rigging my 6.0m. He then pumped his 5.0m Wang and headed out. Wind had increased and turned more W. I left the 6.0m rigged and also rigged the 4.5m and headed out. Had to schlog to the wind line but then it was good 15-18kts. After 15 mins it lightened to 12-15 and there were some holes. The Tweezy van showed up and Tuna came in to chat. I had to work ... Very short session. Everyone was getting off the water as I arrived. Felt really good when I launched, but soon the wind had some big holes. Wound up downwind and did the walk of shame (Haven't done that in a while.) Wind came back up but was still a bit off-shore so I decided not to push my return to cold water.

Thought I'd get out early and had images of head high swell since it had been blowing all night. Not to be. There was some okay swell on the outside which eventually disappeared. Good to get out but I lacked stoke and my fingers were ccccold.

Really enjoying the 3M/1225MA combo. Easy start, no probs OP'd. Some decently long rides. Need to throw the straps back on to start jumping again. BWD, and RBL joined me and then a couple more showed up as I was packing up. Chilly today, but fun!

Sunset 40 minute workout launching near HSC. Out to J. Lawson QD Bouy and back , got flushed close to Navy Jack Pt after the gybe. From there back to launch is all fishing tackle tactics.

Nice to be out with just 2mm pants, two shirts and my yellow top. People think we ate nuts of course.

On it early with Udder. Wind was steady and swell out was organized outside early on. After an hour the wind clocked some outside and swell became quite disorganized and things flattened out inside (guess that was the tide). I was done after 2 hours, and came in as the wind ramped up.

A lovely, consistent wind was blowing all afternoon. Heaps of wingers out carving up the chest high swells rolling in. Me, I'm still working on my jibes in between these big rollers. Happy to say I'm staying up more times than not now. A great Sunday sesh!

    Choppy, sm 1-2ft waves
    1.10 hours
The wicked pow Friday killed my lower back, armed w/ Celebrex managed a bit of an outing today, nothing but sailing & skiing makes this old corpse a little lame. Beauty punchy day, some sun, a few holes & more choppy mogul fields, flat 5.0/94, not 35 knot smoothie waves I had hoped for. Tide was low for the first time in forever, doinked the board nose on the bar :(

    Sail 6 wave 4 jump 2

    Great to see Dunkindad out
