OK...I am thrashed....The wind is directly on shore here...and I need wave sailing lessons...as you are sailing completely parallel to the sandy beach...in the wave troughs. Waves were constant and some sets were 3 - 4 feet. I got pummeled a few times. But the beach is very wide and sandy, perfect for learning wave sailing. And it was sunny and warm enough to wear a shorty wetsuit... and sailing in amongst small breaking waves was cool...lots of spectators on the beach. I tried the 94L but found I needed a bigger board/sail combo to quickly pop up onto a plane before getting rolled by the next wave. Once planing I was ripping too fast on the JP. Had some scary overpowered rips along the whole beach with 3 footers trying their best to roll me. Made some sketchy jibes. Nice day to get back into it. Got to get back in shape.
