Got lucky and caught that elusive Island View summer thermal. Light but nice to be on the water again (and close to home). The air was nice and cool indicating it was wrapping around from the Juan de Fuca. Lucky that it kept going till 5:30 pm. The last half hour there was no wind from the beach out about 50 meters. Stayed outside the sandbar since it was still ESE. Figured it was getting ready to go SW so I made a run for the beach. The kite fell out of the sky and I had to do a short swim. Some sand and seaweed to clean up but well worth it. :lol: Nice to meet Scott and Christine there.
