Woke up at 6am to a dismal series of lighthouse reports. Went back to bed for an hour and then rechecked reports. Looked a bit better so Wingnut and I headed up to CB. Arrived to utterly piss-poor conditions and RD standing around with a 6.7 rigged :evil: . Mattdog was riding the skim board on a 12m kite (I think). RD went out, got planing a few times and returned to head back to work. After he packed up, the wind kicked in to fun powered 5.8 with some 5.0 later on. The swell never really came up much. A few rogue swells on the outside allowed for some fun forwards and 2 landed backs on the new board. Got schooled on a few forced and under-rotated forwards and backs. SMACK!! Really happy with the performance of the board so far!
Bean hucked a nice forward in front of me but got tossed out of the straps. Super close! He sailed away from a back today as well. Saweet! Don was ripping on 4.7 for a while at the peak. Paul joined us later on and was doing his usual (yawn) perfect forwards and vulcans 8) . Fun day! Hope the boys score on Thurs!!
