:( Came over the hill and yelled 'YAHOO!' the wind was perfect, probably 15kts on the outside, sunny and warm....finally!! Got to the beach and it looked lighter on the inside but outside was solid 15kts. 2 or 3 kites started ripping out and back. It felt good and with the solid 15kt forcast for the entire afternoon I figured rig the 8.5m and get out there quick. Well..as soon as I got rigged and down to the beach....jumped up on the board, looked lighter all of a sudden, kites were coming in....I thought HA! silly kites, I'll just schlogg out to the wind and start rippin!! Well...keep schloggin' dude.....schlogged out for about an hour...never made it to the wind.....ugghH!! Looked back and the beach was a long way away....so I turned around and headed back just as it pretty much shut down.....schlogged back at 4kts(GPS really comes in handy!) just barely got back to the beach....damn!! suckered again. :cry:
It was quite a nice day.....got some sun 8) ...hopefully tomorrow will be better. :wink:
