A frustrating sail for me. Wind was howling and I was overpowered. I had neoprene gloves on and was having a terrible time holding onto the boom. My forearms were aching. I felt terribly out of shape and could barely hold the sail up. In the end, I looped my arm through the boom and held it on the inside of my elbow. Waterstarting was a problem - kept getting pulled over to the other side. Had to constantly reorganize the gear in the water. Terrible day for the confidence. [DWD told me later that it was the gloves that pumped out my forearms.]
