Tried out the new board today, probably not the best choice but wanted to finally try it. Since it is quite short and narrow, when trying to pump up onto the foil either the nose sinks or leaning back it pushes water like a barge. when there was enough wind, the board flew nicely. since it's quite narrow (67cms) it's not a hike out and go fast board, it's a stand on top and have fun. Once up on the foil, it turned tight and flew through the gybes easily. Fairly frustrating trying to pump onto the foil as I needed more wind than there was so I probably spent 2 hour of pumping today and pumping the 7.0 m sail is quite tiring. It wasn't cold and nice and sunny so that was nice. Tweez came out to play but pretty much foiled wherever he wanted and I was busy schlogging, pushing water. So I definitely have 2 board for different wind strengths. I'm thinking new board needs 15kts, old board anything less.
