What a Day!!! Amazing!! The RBFC meeting was full, everyone in attendance, well....except Mr. B (and Mrs. B). Lots of faces I haven't seen before and almost everyone on Wings. I think that Wing-Thang might catch on..?? The only Doods I recognized were Rupp-Dogg, MF4, Mr. Keener, the rest were all obstructed by their Wangs. Started on the 1100/255 combo with the 95cm mast and 115cm fuse with the 4.5m Flyer. So easy, like having training wheels. Wind went softer for 30 mins so I rigged up the 6.0m Flyer FR. It went well but it feels heavy and just wants to go fast! it's not a turny sail, just has one speed, flat out! I think it will have to be my flat water ripping sail. Wind picked back up 20+ so went back to the 4.5m Flyer. Put on the SuperCruiser foil for the last hour, 1700 front foil, 500cm2 stab and 105cm fuse. So slow and likes to turn, in my gybes I'm basically standing still and it's still flying, crazy! Looked at my watch and had gone 76 kms so figured another 24 would be good to get my Hundy today. Lots of Whoop-Whoop on the water today. Flat to begin with then as the day wore on the waver got bigger and steeper so better swell down by Gonzales Bay. Most Foilers I've seen in Ross Bay, I counted 19 at one point but with the comings and goings I'm sure we hit over 20. I'm hoping everyone posts their sessions. Found a Grey Gath helmet at the end that had been on the beach all day so took it with me. So if anyone is missing a grey Gath helmet, HMU. 100 kms in 4 hours, not a bad day.
