I have the day off and figured I would just go for it even though the wind was trending lower. I made a few lame tacks and walked the beach twice but after a big mushy power stroke, the tip of the kite touched the water it was all over. With the kite on the water, not far from shore, I swam in, packed up and went home. Oh well, at least I tried.
