Arrived at The Tea Room to completely empty parking lot. Weird! 140th session of the year and getting close to 7000 kms!! It was blowing 20+ so I rigged the 4.5m Flyer as it was supposed to lessen. Joe-Joe and DOG arrived and it started to get lighter. 10kts as I was getting into the water, past the logs and 6 inches of beach, ugh! This could really suck! I schlogged for maybe 5 mins but it looked stronger upwind. Turned near Cattle Point and caught a puff and rode a wave downhill like jump starting my old Toyota Celica. Still worried as I had to gybe and there was 10-12kts, caught another puff at just off Mary Todd island and was able to gybe still foiling, pumped like a maniac and headed upwind slightly out off Cattle Point where there was 15-20kts and some crazy confused large waves, gybes again going downhill and it was on, a flock of Wangs hit the water and it never slowed, probably 10-15 more Wangs out. Everyone and their uncle was on the water. DOG still on the water as I left, marathon session DOG!! Lots of different conditions, flatter and smoother off Mary Todd and huge, long swell out past Cattle plus crazy confused waves. It was up and down a bit but mostly 15-20kts. Did not feel cold at all today, except when I fell in once, FML - really a crash' ugh!! Wish I could have stayed longer butt my back felt almost 55yrs old and had some Corona that needed drinking at home. I took some video after I was done. I'll post a couple to the RBFC group chat. Tip of the hat goes to Tuna-Can who came close to the beach so was able to get some good video of him looking smooth. Looking at my GPS track, I made 52 out of 53 turns. my 1 wipeout ruined my perfect session. CRAP PATTIES!!
