First thermal day of the year in the inlet. Relatively warm. With wingman back from the mountain and new recruit we're officially a 3 man crew.

All stoked on the paddle out. But I just couldn't get started. Tried for 45mins. Completely blew my arms, shoulders and back out. Legs cramping. Felt like my board was stuck in mud. I don't have a lot of time on the 5.5 mode, but I was thinking what the hell is going on. I could get up on a 4m strike in these gusts!!! I'm only 10lbs heaver than the fall (board is a belly button deep stinker now)... Getting ready to call for a downwind pickup and already writing up my for sale add on the mode when I remembered that in all the chatting at the beach I forgot to take my custom wingtip covers off. You think seaweed pitches the nose down, try 4" webbing. Packed them up and tacked straight up the inlet in one shot. Man those modes go upwind. Had to make up for my 45 mins struggle so rode till dusk in patchy onshore wind.

Got to handle the new lift 110ha-x and 150ha-x. Works of art. Flatter camber, wider wingspan, might have to switch brands again.

Severe muscle cramps over my entire body in the evening. Took four hours of hot tub, theragun and mineral cycles to get them to stop enough that I could sleep. Lesson learned!
