Decided with wind and sunshine I should take afternoon off. Done! Arrived at CP to 12-15kts from NNE almost directly into the 2nd boat ramp. No one around, H-Rock, Danno and Mtnarg went to Willows. I rigged up the 5.2m as it was perfect yesterday to I was a little underpowered as there were lots of big holes with nothing. It'll be interesting to see how much foiling vs. non-foiling there was. I had on the 800 front foil and it wasn't the best choice. The 1100 would have been better today because of the lighter wind and more chop so I couldn't get much flat water to really put the hammer down. Probably should have rigged the 6.0m as well. Ya, live ya learn. TunaCan came out to play for a lunchtime session and then Rupp-Dogg appeared and Docker as well. Bougie came for a quick late afternoon session as well. After 3 hours I was pretty tired and 80+ kms travelled was good after 75+ yesterday. I might actually have to work tomorrow which will be a nice rest day. A bunch of lasers from the yacht club also came out to play and get in the way. The wind was kind of weird today, lots of holes and then quick gusts that lasted seconds and then were gone. I did a lot of pumping to try and get through the holes. The 800cm2 does glide better than the 1100cm2 but doesn't have the lift needed to 'keep it up'. BANG! It was my anniversary today so had to leave wind out there, probably could have hit 100kms but had to get home and earn credits + I was thirsty. ha!
BOBSON OUT!!
