Arrived to 20kts and no one around. I wanted to test out the SuperCruiser 1700cm2 front foil and 330cm2 stabilizer and the 102cm fuselage with the long 95cm mast. Well, it worked how I thought. It felt super slow and lifty. I was able to stand on top of the board, instead of hiked out, and it felt very turny and relaxed. I was averaging 25km/h but on some gybes I was at 20km/h and still foiling. CRAZY!! Mtnarg was out with me and then Gautham walked his gear to the beach then a little while later H-Rock showed up. The wind lightened to 15kts after 1 hour and 45 mins so I came in and changed out the foil to my go-to 1100/255cm2 and bagged out the 4.5m flyer. I went back out in 15-20kts with H-Rock for another 45 mins and it steadily ramped up till it was 25kts and very wavy so we both called it a fantastic session. High 5's all around. The 1700cm2 will be my new go-to when it's very wavy as it's slow enough to gybe between the waves and not plow into the wave ahead. I improved my wave foiling today. Outside off CP the swells were huge, long and slow, maybe 3-5 footers..? It was hard to tell but they felt huge!! Going slow and being super turny was kind of fun but it's definitely a lot of work. I don't know how you doods do that turny, wavy thing for as long as you do. I will sleep well tonight.
BOBSON OUT!!
