Willows wouldn't let me in today, so I headed off to Elk Lk with MtnarG, Gautam, and Greg. The usual gusty, changeable winds where it's hard to get into a flow. Until, I figured out that just playing the gusts, pumping the lulls, going with where the wind's going, and just staying up on foil as long as I can - just trying to meet that made for some decent flow. Very much OP'd on the 6m in the gusts, but perfect for the sudden wind drops. I've learned to appreciate Elk for giving me a place to go when every other place is just too scary. And, it's gustiness and direction changes teach some very practical lessons. I've become an Elk lover!
