Arrived to a steady 22 kts but by the time I had my kite in the air it had dropped to near zero, complete with kites in the water and wingers sitting on their boards. A strange period of gusty omni- directional weirdness followed and then it filled back in. I was overpowered for about 20min with some of the steepest swell I've seen at Clover, and a tide line that brought all kinds of wood debris and loose kelp that needed dodging. It gradually dropped for 20min resulting in a rush for the beach. Challenging conditions but at least a session was had.
