Made it to the lagoon in record time from Victoria by 7 AM. Lots of puffs in the bay with whitecaps further out. Went out first on the HPS 980 with a 5m which was a good idea. Lots of holes in the wind coverage. Gusty. Flipped over to Greg's Operator 1050 (thanks Greg) for my second demo halfway through the session. I wasn't quite sure how it would hold up because it looked windier than it actually was. concerns unfounded. I was up and running in seconds and got in some good turns. swell wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable either. More locals along with a couple of the Ross Bay regulars started showing up around 10.
