Early morning session with solid wind, a few half decent rollers and NO seaweed. Barely anyone there. This was my first session combining the Omen 1050 with the Flux board that Omen has collaborated on with Appletree. These are also my first sessions with a carbon mast. Also the first time on a 72l board. I have work to do on the take off but once up, the foil board combo is intuitive. Over two hours I could feel myself trusting the equipment to "squirm" through the swell with the lightest of adjustments. Aggregate speed has increased 15-20%. I am excited about Omen's foil. The only thing holding up the show will be my lack of expertise. I can feel I am just at the beginning of something great..
