    Last Day of my week at the lake. Cam arrived late last night and came right over and offered me a beer. Nice!! Up early for breakfast then packed up the campsite and out on the 7.0m Flyer for the first 40 mins then the wind picked up to 15-20 so rigged down to the 5.2m Flyer. For the first hour and a half there was only 1 other kitefoiler (Gerry) on the lake with me. Sunshine and lots of room to turn. HA! A couple wingers and a few other kites finally came out but I'd had enough after 75kms and called it as Cam was just heading out. As I was packing up my gear I heard the 'slap, slap, slap' of him ripping across the lake on his 'slappy board'. Pretty amazing week at the lake with some of the 'full timers' packing up for the summer and leaving and having some 'me time' with The Twizz for the first 3 days. Lots of friendly faces and lots of TOW. I foiled just more than 700 kms in 7 days and only crashed into the water once when I hit maybe a big fish or seal. Nothing appeared but I definitely hit something that stopped me in my tracks. I had over 30 days at the lake this summer which was a record for me. I really appreciate the relaxed camping life and hoping for more time next year. Retirement isn't far away. Thanks to everyone I met and smiled at as I was foiling by them this summer. Someone said I had a constant SH&% eating grin on my face when I'm foiling. I'm pretty sure I do because it makes me very happy.
