Arrived early to sunshine and very little wind but I got my parking spot so I was happy enough. Hung out for 30 mins giving OSR's and chatting with The notorious D.O.G. until he figured out he forgot his 6.0m so then he decided to leave. Then GregCan arrived and agreed that the 7.0's were needed. I headed out for 20 mins by myself then Wings, 1 after another showed up and joined. Rupp-Dogg, H-Rock, as well pretty cool foiling with the Ocean Rodeo leader and really, legend, Richard Myerscough. I think you ripped your Wing on my foil sitting on the boat ramp, sorry and I hope you have a spare. haha! The Notorious D.O.G. decided to come back and joined in as well on his OR Wing. There were quite a few OR Wings so I don't feel as bad. I'm sure there were other Wingers but, really, YOU all look the same so I dunno who they were. Then I saw the Junkman coming towards me with his lime green helmet! Oh ya, 1 other 'Wind' Foiler came out. Chris who just upgraded from kiting to WindFoiling. SWEET!! The wind never really increased, the gusts hit 13kts .... maybe...? But most of the time it was 8-12kts, just enough for the 'Session-Saver' 7.0m Sailworks Flyer. Sunny and almost warm, no gloves but my fingers did get a little chilly after 2 hours so I came in, warmed them up, ate a ham sangy and had some hot tea!! Then headed back out. Lots of sailboats of all shapes and sizes, a WASP was out really rippin'. I never got the chance to race it but I think we were about the same speed, give or take. I didn't see too many foiling gybes by the WASP though. There wasn't really enough wind to go where ever I wanted so I kept in between Jemmy Jones and the boat launch mostly. The best wind was 200m off the boat launch. 3 hours and 77kms and sunshine made for a pretty great Sunday-Funday!!
BOBSON OUT!!
