With forecast for winds to die off early, I got on it early. Arrived at 8am and on the water by 8:30am. Looked light to begin with but after 10 mins it had picked up to 10-15kts which made the 7.0m more work than I like, could have used the 6.0m most of the session but better bigger than schlogger. Did some long runs out to Chatham. With the outgoing tide there were really flat sections between JJ and Chatham and some steep tidal chop inside that. Quite amazing the steepness with 2' ers or more with tide going the opposite way on the inside. H-Rock joined in with some huge WooHoo's as I was going by at Mach 2 and he was doing his crazy DM turns like a drunk driver out of control. HA! Love it!! Wind started getting lighter with only 10kt gusts so I pulled the pin and as I'm coming in Sir-Lancer-Lot was heading out to join H-Rock. As I packed up H-Rock came in as well and we were skeptical about Lancer's chances but it picked up so a solid 10-12kts and he was rippin!! I headed home for coffee with my daughter and Lancer headed back out for a 2nd session. Love the Statutory Holidays!!
