Okay, that was COLD!! HighRocker was rigged up and ready to go as I arrived. He went out and it took a few mins for him to find a gust but he did and then was linking the gusts together with his ginormous foil! I headed out but changed out the stabilizer from the 255SLR to the old 255 which I've used for the last 2.5 years. Well, it wasn't how I remembered it being so steady and easy. I guess I'm used to the SLR now with it's higher aspect and a bit less lift. So the old 255 has way more lift but might be a bit slower, I'll have to try it with the 900 front foil next time for a true understanding but it felt like I was going to take-off every time I got up to speed and definitely lifted earlier than the SLR. Pretty fun session with H-Rock but definitely very cold with the odd snow flake in the eye. After about 30 mins the wind picked up to steady 15 - 20kts so the 6.0m was a bit of work to control so after 1.25 hours I called it a day. Nice to get a lunch time session in. MtnarG came out at the end on his 8.0m and I really don't know how he uses that thing in 15-20kts. As I was coming in there were 100 school kids coming down to the beach and screaming with joy and just as I was leaving Gustastic was heading out on his 5.0m. Good Times!! maybe one day Gussy will post a session..?? One day.?
