First off, WOW!!! A-freakin-mazing day!! Made the early trip to Pipers as the forecast looked GREAT and Victoria looked like duldrumville. Met Danno in the parking lot and wind was maybe 10kts. We both rigged up the 6's and off we went. He got up on foil right away and I spent 45 minutes getting frustrated downwind with the tide going left to right quickly. Anyways, it picked up to 12+ after 45 mins and after that it was ON like Donkey Kong!! Just me and Danno for first 3 hours. After 2 hours we stopped for lunch and took down the 6's and rigged the 5's. Good Call!! After lunch it was 12-16kts for another hour, then Tempy arrived and brought some more wind and a friend with him. The friend was also a Winger (surprise, surprise) who looked pretty good and went back out after we all finished. The last hour with Tempy was the best, 15-18kts with some sorta flat was and some waves way outside. Such a fun day, no gloves and almost warm with sun through the clouds to make some interesting lighting coming back into shore. Thanks to Danno and Tempy for coming out and playing while I got my 100kms in because I can't see myself getting another 100km day while Winging. One of the best things was more time on the water than time driving up and back. SWEET!!
