Took my old Duke out for a spin and was reminded that it is a very good kitesurf board for the conditions at Clover. Somewhat heavier and slower turning than my new one, the weight helps it push through chop without transferring a lot of kinetic energy into my legs. It is heavy and rides smoothly because of it. Wind was quite good and lofty enough for easy foot changes and I managed one serviceable tack turn. Lovely sunny session with just me and CB west of Clover with others starting to show up as I finished.
