Great to see 8 or so people on the water during the best winds in the morning. Salute to DM, Udd, Gus eh all. And thanks to Scarlet for the visit, the porridge and time spent hunting for short mast parts.
Finally jury rigged 6m onto a 460cm mast due to Wed night 430cm breakage. Tack was over a ft off the deck complicating pumping between three dominant wind directions and strengths off lagoon, the wrap around park head and dominant NNW upwind of Hudson Rocks area.
Should of been on a 7M , 9ft 8 and at least 40cm of fin for afternoon sailing. Some nice little short lived swells but can't get the flapper tail to surf them like normal. I keep wanting to fill in the tail and undercut and flap areas to help board plane thru turns when under powered. Kinda like a tinkler bolt on adapter for the tail.
I should be shopping for gear to replace that which is 25 yesrs old but where's the fun in that' So still a lovely day at the park.
