Soul recharging weekend at Nitnat with the girls. Drove up Friday night and after a great breakfast for dinner, shared some drinks and stories with friends. Erika went for a brief early morning swim but noped out of it due to jelly fish. I had a concern that Ingrid would be of the same mind so we didn't tell her - fortunately turned out to be a non issue. Ingrid had a wing lesson lined up at Elevation that she was nervous for but gave it her all. Learned some wing handling skills on the tiny 2.5 and even got standing at the end of the session. Her afternoon was a bit more of a struggle due to too much wind and chop, but she put herself into it, kept a great attitude and I'm super proud of her. Next time she gets out in ~15 knots I'm positive she'll get up on foil.
I got out on 5.0 and quickly swapped down to perfect 4.0. Had something of a breakthrough session with the new Units - handles make transitions so much easier. Got around to ride switch on lots of far side gybes and rode across the lake crossed up quite a few times. Also lots of s-turns without feet switching which is great fun but also feels like cheating. Lots of fun riding with Chris, Carl, Mark, Darwin etc. Nice apres wing swim in the lazy river.
