I think that I am not the only one that wanted a proper windy day, it has been a while. It was busy at the point today, I usually rely on my Irish luck to get a choice parking spot but that did not work out for me today. So I stopped in the middle of the road and put my hazard lights on and unloaded my gear and then went and parked off away. The wind was quite westerly and my self launch worked well. I did a looong walk on the windward side beach of Clover to start my session, the shore was full of wood and weed. Once on the water it was really good. I had a lot of fun with the wind and the swell. There was some good big water to ride and the wind was mostly very supportive. I did have a good time and made a few tacks and got to have some lovely powered gybes where the kite roars and pulls you fast and hard through the turn. Love that. About 8-10 kites out and mostly young folks which was a pleasant surprise. I guess all the old kiters are wingfoiling ;-)
