WooHoo!!!! Yup, I'm back baby!! Took afternoon off work and headed down to the RB festival. Arrived at 12:30pm ish with The Junkman schlogging out and 6 Doods sitting on Goat Hill watching. BW/Danno/Twizz/TunaCan/Carl/RobC and some others. I decided it was a Windfoil kind of day as I haven't been on the foil for a couple weeks so thought I'd go with what I know. The new'ish Goya Airbolt 135 (Thanks Jesse@DirtyMermaid) was as good as I remember. It was quick to get up on the foil and when touching down, would pop right back up. too easy! I started out with the 6.0m Sailworks Flyer and that lasted for an hour then it picked up to 14-18kts so came in and rigged the 4.5m Sailworks Flyer. Seemed like there was less wind out past the tide line craziness. Most wind was up closer to the point. Highrocker showed up later but was still driving Drunken-Monkey-like. Omen-Greg was heading out just as I was coming in and Tweezy's Owen was killing it with Mitch. Mrs. B showed up to ensure all were behaving I think. MF4 was heading out with his Dragonfly and 5.0m Orange KT. Saw Just-John as I was driving away. So much fun today, there were so larger waves and out past the tide there was some flat water. I forgot how much fun RB is when the gang is down there. I should have put on the 103cm mast as I was worried about foiling out my whole session but never did as I was riding pretty low. I really can't wait to get back out, maybe later Fri or Sat or Sun. I will definitely try Winging soon although the Windsurf foiling was pretty fun!! Woo-freakin'Hoo!!
