First time on the Airbolt in Wing-mode. I think the board Wingfoils just as well as it Windsurf foils. The wind was lighter than expected and I was under powered using the KT 5.0m Wing. With the board being much (30cms) longer than my KT Wing drifter 130, The Goya Airbolt 135 definitely has better hull speed and I feel it gets up on foil quicker. I arrived 2:30pm and chatted with 'the gang' until 3:30pm when it felt like it was picking up. Lots of peeps on the water and even Mr. Twizz showing up for a chit-chat prior to his Eiffel Tower visit. I should have brought the 6.0m with me but with the forecast I thought it wasn't needed. Rookie mistake. Bring all your gear all the time. Anyways, when there was enough wind, 12-14kts I was able to get up foiling easily and the new Airbolt board schlogged well too. On one of the next sessions I'm going to try and do both, Windsurf foil and Wing foil. I will try the footstraps in the furthest forward position which is where my foot was while Winging. I will probably have to move the foil further back in the track as I had the foil almost as far forward as was possible. More testing needed. I forgot to start my watch so missed the first 10kms ish. Everyone's Wing skills have definitely improved over the summer, I've got some catching up to do. Ross Bay is definitely not Nitinaht or China Creek. Hoping the forecasts for wind this weekend upgrade. On the way home bought another case of Corona's and a bottle of wine for my wifey. Happy Wifey......
