Playing tides qnd meek winds made it from Hollyburn Sailing Club to 400m S. of the Capilano River. Salmon still jumping all over and fisherman were yelping when they get a chance to land one. The heat & significant sun meant it shoulda been boardshorts and T-Shirt sailing but I stupidly over dressed with 2mm neoprene on my legs. Wind filled in to QD Bouy 1,5km west of the Cap river then sailed back to the Club and derigged & stowed gear for the trip back to Nanaimo.

Finally saw a seal take down a seagull dragging it down 12 meters depth or so (to damage their lungs, suffocate them or something?%#?? ) then let it go. Oh how they like to play with their prey. I've seen seals do similar stuff with Salmon under the Lions Gate Bridge.

The 5.7m with Quad split battens is easy to pump.
