Late arrival at Island View, I checked out the North parking lot (where I should have launched) then decided to drive back to the South lot and launch where 'the action' was happening. Pumped up the 4.0 and launched and was quickly pounded by the shore break, stood around for five minutes and decided to preserve myself and gear. Kept my suit on and headed to Willows and caught a late afternoon session with some good swells. Back on the small 70L board felt a little twitchy, but that could have been the conditions or the rider! Bring on the winter storms!
