Session was fairly average until the porpoises came through, at least 50 of them breaching what seemed like everywhere so I slowed right down and made sure I hit the water a lot so they knew I was coming through. No hits, nice! That was the porpoise part obviously, the Peanut head part was some idiot set a crab trap with line that went over 50ft along the top of the water to the buoy. It was high tide so there was no reason for that much extra line floating on the surface. And YES, I went 20-20ft away from the buoy but saw the line at the last moment and caught it, SLAM!!! Ugh! Anyways, the wind was up and down, 10-14kts when I arrived, when I got on the water it was less than 10kts, it looked good upwind so I still launched. That wind never came through so I came back in after 20 mins. Waited 15 mins and it came back 10-15kts, so went out again and it was good for 30 mins, then it died down to 8-10kts again so I came in and packed up after a long schlog. Better than a kick in the pants. Unhappy coming off the water at the end seeing all the talk about Willows. Yup, I guess I picked the wrong spot today. I was eager to get out so saw wind and hit it. I guess I should have used some of those patience that I talk about all the time. Well, hoping for some more tomorrow afternoon as I have to go out for lunch. The foiling with Porpoises was pretty exciting, crap trap, not so much!
