Nice to have an early morning session rather than the usual end of day racing the sunset! Launched just before 9am with GregCan, MtnarG, and Bobson. It took a while to get out to the wind, but I finally got up and joined dawn patrollers Kalen, Tweezer and Gus. For the first hour I rode with a blue shim (0.5 degree) for the first time ever -- I was surprised at how much looser everything felt. TnT, Docker, Rupert, Ang and a few others soon joined the fun. After a quick break I took the shim out, relaunched and everything seemed so stable again. I'm really liking BWD's 220 stab and I feel like it's a better choice over the 235 for learning to gybe, where my progress is still moving at a glacial rate. Debriefed with the whole crew as the flypast went right over RB. Bored the $%& out of Bobson with too much wing ding gear discussion -- sorry buddy!! First proper session on the 5.5m SLS, and I'm really liking the new handle style. Good times!!
