Arrived at 8:30am to not much inside but what looked like 15+ outside and a few Wingers out and GregCan, Docker, MtnarG, and The Pope rigging big as the wind was supposed to die off. Well, it was great. I rigged the 6.0m Sailworks Flyer and used the Slingshot Phanstasm 1700cm2 foil to ensure I had enough when the wind got lighter. Super smooth takeoff with the 1700 foil so more than enough power on the outside. Got my fitness in for the first 30 mins then came in and rigged down to the 4.5m Sailworks Flyer and probably should have put on a smaller foil but wanted to get back out and was still expecting less wind. The 4.5m was the perfect choice, it was blowing 15-20kts most of the time on the outside and a bit lighter on the inside. Lots of junk in the water that you had to keep an eye out for, including a couple of very big logs (Watch Out H-Rocker) that would be shin-killers! I was able to avoid them as I kept my eyes open, I'm guessing some people were "using the force" to navigate. A few others showed up including TnT, Rupp-Dogg, Shin-Rock and someone I didn't know. Lots of wind and lots of fun for a Monday morning. We all participated in a moment of silence. The wind finally did lessen so I headed in and packed up, 10 mins later the rest of the gang came in and we had a small debrief on the causeway under Goat-Hill to discuss Wings. I figured that I would leave since I had nothing to offer and didn't really understand what they were talking about 'handles' and 'flagging out'. Weird?!?!?
