After yesterday's flatwater session at the spit, was good to be back out front playing in the waves.
Wind/waves built quite quickly after i got out, to the point where I was just overpowered on the 5m- ie perfect:-)
Did learn (?!) a valuable lesson- when screaming down the face of a 2m wave doing easily 20kts, and you punch into the trough and pitch pole- let go of the wind so you can get your hands in front of your face - otherwise you do a literal faceplant, and give yourself a black eye - damhik!
