Lagoon was just dark gusts so rigged 5.8 flat. Took one run and wind gusted and stayed high. Tried to lay-down jibe, catapaulted. Started, just getting in back strap when mega-catapaulted. Waterstarted, 'whats that rattling sound?", looked up to see centre panel totally shredded :( :shock: :evil: However, th big hole made it sailable back to beach, blowing 25-30 by now. I know I didn't land in it (flung downwind), just the shock of hitting the water must have exploded it. It was solid whitecaps in the lagoon now, decided to try the 4.0 on the big board. Not much power in the lulls! but some great fully powered runs. Made it around a couple of planing jibes only to have rig ripped from hands on the flip. Only one stay-dry jibe, but going fast on the 4.0 is fun :P fun :P fun :P : Wind was dropping fast by 6.
