Lots of slogging but worth it to get on the water finally and had some powered runs. Wind very gusty and up and down. Had a great 1/2 hour at end powered to overpowered in 15-20 - it came up [b:4da52c8c4f]exactly [/b:4da52c8c4f]when Russian Dood left (sorry Andre, but it really did, just as your car pulled out!). Dropped just enough to not need to rerig or downhaul more, got by with tighter outhaul. Wind dropped really fast about 7:30, packed it in myself.
A couple of planing gybes, one overpowered very fast one where the board and I parted company 2/3 of the way round as I switched feet - in the air, not enough knee bend? Got caught out in light stuff once, fell and couldn't waterstart, waves a bit big to uphaul - kept sinking tail but nose too slippery to push with other foot - finally uphauled after about 6 tries.
