Nitinat or The Gorge for the Long Weekend?

I see from Randy that Nitnat might be o.k. this long weekend. I have planned a trip to the Gorge and I see high pressure and warm temps in Astoria and Portland predicted. One forecaster said it looks bleak. Any opinions out there would be apprciated as I am heading to Memaloose Friday for 4 days. Ch...

I've been to Puero Vallarta many times in January and February. Nuevo Vallarta is where I stayed and is the best for kiting. Long, sandy beach. Every afternoon the winds kick up. 12-25 knots. Sideshore. There is some surf to get through, 1-5ft average. I'd say intermediate conditions. Surfing in the...

Stephen, Very nice description. We did have a blast, eh?! We were off of the marina area in Hood River. There is a "kiting only' sandbar just west of the marina, but the walk or swim seemed a bit much from where we were (although that was the advice I got from the shops). It's a different parki...

Kitsurfing The Gorge- Where?

Hello,

I am going to the Columbia Gorge and want to do some Kiting. Does anybody know where the best/safest spot would be for an intermediate with camping facilities (tent). I've heard of Home valley and Memaloose.
Any input is appreciated. :D :D

I have seen a Kiter at East Chesterman's beach in a S.E. Wind. I was in Cox Bay for a N.W. the previous Day. It was too gusty in Cox Bay for that same S.E.
