Good choice. The rebel is an awesome kite. Check out ikitesurf.com. There is a lot of good used boards on there. Norths xride is a great board for beginners and beyond. The Jamie pro is a litte more advanced but still forgiving. Flydoors are a great choice too.

I'm glad you took a lesson with a professional. I've been kiting since 01' and back then there were only instructors screaming at you while running down the beach after you. I spent more time walking back with the instructor than learning. As for gear goes, check out North Shore Ski and Board in Nor...

I hear that it won't be as organized as last year. Although that doesn't mean there won't be any races. My guess is that we'll still do all the races, but not as organized.
