Off Topic - Snowboard Bindings ... FLOW?
Hi group;
I know it is off topic, but I need to replace my aging snowboard bindings. I am thinking of getting Flow bindings but I have read mixed reviews. I freeride blue to double black and love gladed runs, no terrain parks though.
Anyone have experience with Flow bindings?
Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I've used em and know lots of people who use them .... basically what you gain in comfort you sacrifice in performance . If you're a cruiser they're awesome ... if you're an extreme kind of guy the response might not be for you .
Personally ... any standard style binding with the new " toe cap " straps are the best .

Burton vs Drake
I think it's what ever you get used 2, and what works with your set up. I bought a pair of Burton cartels last season with the toe cap, and have used them 3 times, then went back to my Drakes with carbon fiber high backs. I found that the caps would come off my toe in deep powder, and not have the response that you need when riding glads, same with the flow. I was just @ Mt.Cane this past weekend, and i watched a lady try for about 30min to put her high back in place with a pair of Flow bindings, there must have been at least 5 people trying to help her as well. Im sure they are good bindings, but I think you made a good pick with the Burton. Just keep in mind about the deep powder.

Thanks Nosey. I have had Drake step-in's for the past four years and I was never really happy with them. Ill fitting boots were my main complaint coupled with a lot of weight. The boot bar finally broke so I figured it was time to get new ones. The Burton's sure feel comfortable. I don't know why the toe strap would release in powder. Thanks for the tip though. I'll keep an eye on them.
