hey greg one of the best places i've found for a NW around here is a small bay just south of the powell river ferries, the wind is pretty clean there and the launch is really quite safe both for launching or landing if your by yourself - if you follow the road that passes through the base (continuation of pritchard) if you keep following it to the end you'll cross a little bridge and come to a small parking lot - that would be my suggestion if you're looking to catch a NW - their often somewhat unreliable as predicted by the wind model for some reason, but quite nice when you do catch it. Should be some SE this weekend though or at some point judging by the pressure model, maybe i'll see you at the spit, cheers,
todd

Thanks for the heads-up. I missed on the morning sesh, but caught it Sunday evening, right at the place you recommended.

Thanks, Globetrotter, see you at the beach next time it's windy !

Cheers, Greg Knowles.
